Hoyas im Curti`s Botanical Magazine
Insgesamt sind im Curtis Botanical Magazine 21 Pflanzenporträts von Hoyas veröffentlicht. Die erste Hoya erschien in Volumen 21 (1805) Tafel Nr. 788. Das war Asclepias carnosa.
Nachstehend habe ich auf Grundlage der Veröffentlichungen in Asklepios 88, S. 8 - 15 (2003) und Asklepios 90, S. 4 (2004) eine chronologische Liste der im Magazin publizierten Hoyas zusammengestellt.
Das im Vol. 73 (1844) als Hoya (Marsdenia) maculata benannte Pflanzenporträt mit Tafel Nr. 4299 ist heute Marsdenia macrophylla.

Von "The Botanical Magazine - flower garden displayed" besitzt die Sächsische Landesuniversitätsbibliothek Dresden (SLUB) alle Ausgaben von 1801 bis 1844. Auch der Nachfolger „Curtis's Botanical Magazine" , später "The Kew Magazine", heraus gegeben für den Benthem - Moxon Trust, Royal Botanic Garden Kew, befindet sich bis zu den Ausgaben des Jahres 1914 im Bestand der SLUB.
Mit Hilfe der Fotothek der Bibliothek konnte ich meine Sammlung botanischer Hoya Illustrationen vervollständigen. Ich bin den Mitarbeitern der SLUB zu großen Dank für Ihre Mühe und unendliche Geduld verpflichtet. Ich werde hier die mir zur Verfügung gestellten digitalen Kopien der Tafeln und die Kopien der Originaltexte aus dem CBM zeigen.
Vol. 156 (1933) mit H. kerrii, Tafel Nr. 4322 und Vol. 191 (1990) mit Hoya multiflora Tafel Nr. 139 befinden sich nicht im Bestand der SLUB.
Die Kopien dieser beiden Pflanzenporträts wurden mir von der Bibliothek des Botanischen Gartens und des Botanischen Museums in Berlin zur Verfügung gestellt.
